Safety Achievements

Covanta Energy has 40 sites participating in the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), which is the official recognition of outstanding efforts by employers and employees to achieve exemplary occupational safety and health policies, procedures and practices.

• Covanta Lancaster received the Governor's Award for Safety Excellence for its exemplary commitment to safety and implementation of successful accident and illness prevention programs and practices.
