Sanjiv Khattri

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

 Mr. Khattri joined Covanta in 2010 as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), responsible for accounting, treasury, investor relations, strategy, financial planning, tax and information technology. He is a seasoned financial officer with global scope and a wealth of experience in capital markets, strategic planning, M&A and industrial management.

Mr. Khattri has over 20 years of financial leadership experience including his tenure as CFO of General Motors Acceptance Corporation, a global diversified financial services company. Immediately before joining Covanta, Mr. Khattri was operating as a financial and strategic consultant working with major global corporations, private equity firms and hedge funds. In his last corporate position, he was a member of the General Motors Acceptance Corporation leadership team where he served for over four years in various capacities including CFO and executive vice president of Corporate Development. Prior to that, Mr. Khattri joined General Motors where, in 1989, he started in the GM Treasurer’s Office; over a period of 15 years he held a variety of increasingly responsible positions, with his last position there being assistant treasurer. Mr. Khattri also held leadership positions for General Motors in Switzerland and the U.K.

Mr. Khattri serves on the board of Global Fund for Children, a DC-based global charity focusing on children’s needs.
