Seth Myones

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Myones began serving as chief operating officer in March 2012. Previously he served as the company's Americas president from 2007-2012. He joined Covanta in 1989 as a business manager and in 1994 was promoted to vice president, regional business manager. During his tenure in the business management group, he was responsible for all business aspects of the company’s seven energy-from-waste facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2001, he was given oversight of all business aspects of Covanta’s domestic operations.

Mr. Myones was instrumental in restructuring the company into a profitable energy-from-waste business. In 2004, Mr. Myones was promoted to senior vice president. In addition to oversight of the Company’s entire domestic business, he has overseen the corporate communications, government relations, and purchasing functions within the organization.
