Hennepin Facility - Tours

Come See How It Works

Covanta Hennepin, in partnership with Hennepin County Environmental Services, provides guided tours of the facility to anyone interested in learning more about the Covanta Hennepin energy-from-waste (EfW) process. 

Tour Days

– Tuesday through Friday.

Tour Hours

–  10 AM to 1.30 PM

• Must wear covered shoes
• Student to teacher ratio = At least 1 teacher/adult:10 students

All tours are scheduled by Hennepin County. Please call 612-348-4930.

Please note that tours will be suspended beginning September 1, 2011 due to construction projects at the facility. It is currently not known when tours will resume.
