Covanta Mid-Connecticut, Inc. (or Covanta Mid-Conn) has operated the Mid-Connecticut Resource Recovery Facility for its owner, the Connecticut Resource Recovery Authority (CRRA), since 1993. It began commercial operation in October 1987 and is located on the site of an old utility plant on the banks of the Connecticut River. Covanta Mid-Conn operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
